• The fare estimation in the app is for information purposes only. It is not intended to be, nor should it be considered as an accurate cost of hiring a Deluxe Central Taxi. The "app" does not take into account stops at traffic lights or along the route to your destination.
• The response time of a Deluxe Central Taxi to a booking through the app  is also an estimation. We ask our customers to be prepared when ordering a taxi as this response time may vary and change quickly.
• We are not responsible for or obligated to compensate for any inaccuracies of our app, and/or any inconvenience this may cause to our customer(s).
• VIP FLAT RATES will not appear on the meter when fare is booked through the app.

As per the bylaw of the City of Medicine Hat, our drivers and owners have to meet the following criteria to obtain a City of Medicine Hat Taxi License:

• A criminal background check including for "vulnerable people."
• A recommendation from the City of Medicine Hat Police for working in this capacity.
• Commercial liability insurance on each car.
• A safety certification for any car past 10 years of age.

• Out of town is past Redcliff and Dunmore. Inside this area, metered rates apply.
• Rates are subject to change without notice, please call us to confirm the cost of travel or hotshot. 
• The flat rate includes a 10 km's from the edge of the town or city listed. After which metered rates apply. If you have a special destination, call us for a quote. 
• Rates are to be paid, in full, prior to driver leaving the city limits unless it is charged to a corporate account. 
• Cargo for hotshots will be subject to dimension and weight limits. Please call us for more information if you think this may be an issue. 
• Calgary Airport is a "special rate" for the airport only. The City of Calgary (any destination) is a separate rate. 
• Third party costs (tolls, ferries) are built into the price to the destination. These are variable costs and will be considered at the time of travel. Please contact us for an accurate quote for such destinations. 

• $4.00 surcharge for a van requested by the customer. This is to cover the extra cost of running a van. 
• Vans are for extra people (more than 4) and cargo. We, however, are not a moving company and have the right to refuse a trip when expected to do so. 
• We can only legally carry as many people as the vehicle has seatbelts for. Therefore, if you have a large group, let us know and we can help determine how many taxis you may need. 

Bicycles are carried by some of our drivers, but not all. If you have a bicycle, please let us know so we can connect you with a driver that offers such service.

• To have a cab on standby, the rate is $60 per cab per hour.
• If you need to, we can supply more than one cab.
• 1 cab can handle approximately 3 trips per hour, within the city limits.
• No metered rate is paid.
• You will be invoiced after the event
• If needs dictate, we may request a deposit. Please call us with your details.

• Taxis need to be ordered through Deluxe Central Taxi dispatch. Bookings through our app will not be included in your event billing and those customers will be asked for cab fare at the end of the trip.
• Availability of our Taxis needs to be considered as your event would be part of our regularly scheduled taxi service. 
• You will be invoiced after event.
• Please let us know about what can be charged to this account by your guests. (ie. to event, from event, taking babysitter home...etc.)
• If you have an account with Deluxe Central Taxi, we would use this instead.

• to open an account, download the "Account Opening Form" print and fill it out and attach to an email to dctaxi@tleuxplanet.net
• We request a valid credit card before we can open the account. We can take this over the phone if you are not comfortable emailing this information.
• Once opened, we will assign you an account number. 
• Please let dispatch know the driver is to charge the Taxi fare to the account when ordering a taxi. This will be your authorization for the fare and will help protect the account from unauthorized charges. 
• We reserve the right to cancel any account for any reasonable reason we deem. Any account more than 60 days in arrears will be automatically closed and, if necessary, appropriate action will be taken.

• We reserve the right to ask for a taxi fare in advance. 
• E-Transfer: we generally DO NOT accept e-transfer payments, however, there are some drivers that will. Inquire with dispactch so we can connect you with one who will accept e-transfer.
• If you do not have the taxi fare when you reach your destination, it is considered "taxi fraud" and is a criminal offence. The driver has the option of calling the authorities and filing charges against the customer. 
• CAUTION: there are times that the "card"(visa, mastercard, interac) machine is not working. We will inform you at the beginning of your trip if that's the case. At that point, the driver can only accept cash. 

• The size of a business card
• In denominations of $10
• Not redeemable for the face value, but acts like cash when applied to your taxi fare. (ie. a $6 fare would receive $4 in change.)
• As many cards as needed can be applied to the fare. (ie. a $35 fare would take 4 cards and there would be $5 change)
• Is only redeemable once.
• Gift cards can also be ordered by the box. Call our dispatch for more details. 

• Not all Deluxe Central Taxis are "pet friendly. Please let our dispatchers know if you are travelling with a pet so we can ensure a pet friendly cab is sent. 
• We take dogs and cats uncaged, if they are clean and well behaved.
• We can accomodate kennels if they are small to medium sized. Please let our dispactch know.
• We reserve the right to charge a cleaning surcharge of up to $100 if your pet makes a mess in our taxis.
• If your pet is an exotic animal, we expect them to be in a cage. 
• When travelling with your pet, we would prefer you sit with them in the back of the taxi. We have found your animal will be better adjusted to handle the taxi ride and enable you to control your pet if needed.
